Why Appoint A Local Buyer Real Estate Negotiator

It is advisable foreign buyers or real estate negotiators to appoint a trusted local Malaysian real estate negotiator (pay a negotiator fee) to take care of their interest for any property purchases.  Malaysia law limits negotiators to get paid by either a buyer or a seller.  They are not allowed to collect commission from both parties or risk getting their license revoked by The Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia.

Since the negotiator is getting paid by the buyer according to the property purchase price of about 2%, they can go all out finding the best property and help negotiate the best price. Usually the price saved can be more than the 2% commission paid to the negotiator.  Most negotiators can also provide additional services like handling of tenancy, procurements and property management for the foreign buyer.

A buyer’s negotiator usually has their resourceful network.  They can recommend the foreign buyer to suitable professionals like attorneys, tax consultants, MM2H consultants, loan consultants, contractors, cleaners, movers, locksmith, etc.  Savings from these professional fees can be way more than the 2% commission paid.
